Chor Sokunthea

Learning his photographic skills as an apprentice in Phnom Penh under masters such as the legendary Al Rokhoff and John Vink of Magnum during Cambodia’s turbulent 90’s, self taught Cambodian photographer Chor Sokunthea is now the official Reuters photographer for the Cambodian region along with being recognized as one of the nation's leading photographers with widespread use of his images by the international media acknowledging his unique in-depth experience and insight into Cambodia.

Sokunthea has spent many years documenting Cambodia landmine and rehabilitation issues that have affected his nation along with striking images of the strength and resilience of the landmine survivor. Sokunthea is regularly commissioned by the EU, the Australian, German and other Embassies in Cambodia to document the many international Aid and development programs underway in Cambodia since the early 1990’s
